I best not lose internet service as of tonight. Did you read this article today in yahoo? That thousands of people will lose their internet connection until what ever malware virus is taken care of. IT should have been taken care of back when it first occurred. Not now. This to me is unethical and immoral. Too many people depend on the internet for their lives.

Up grade to Word 2007

I may be upgrading my word processing program from 2003 to 2007.  When the VC of the DTC sends out Word documents it is a newer version.  I asked Neighbor Don if it would be worth it and he says as long as Microsoft is asking then it should be fine.  I just have to down load it.  It probably is for a fee.  I don’t know how long it will take either.

Got a couple of emails from Yahoo Groups.  It looks like they are ending some applications for their groups.  I am not sure what that means.

Doing a Security VIrus scan

This morning while visiting a site I frequent I got a block message from Norton saying this had a virus and so I followed the instructions.  At least I hope it stopped it so I have a full scan going on.

Updates this week

Earlier in the week it was a windows update no idea what was done but I probaby could check the website.  At times the system seemed slow could have been traffic.  This morning had a java update.

Instead of asking our IT guy at work why Microsoft is giving up on Windows XP in 2014 I went here after going to ask.com.  It sounds like a lot of people customers and clients (people like us) complained about the OS.  I just hope I can understand the new system.  I would love to be able to use more things than I do now.
