Doing a full scan

i was visiting one of my sites that I frequent and got a message that my computer had viruses.  (do you want to navigate from this page etc-your computer has viruses.  i got off that window and decided to do a full scan.  Before I did that though I saw where i could scan my facebook feeds.  Did all the connecting and they are safe for now.  I am doing a full scan of the computer.  Over 12,000 plus sites and so far 74 risks have been detected and resolved.  I am thinking maybe the memory stick should be done too? Okay sent email to DB asking questions about the memory stick.  Will Probably get answer some time tomorrow.
The speed and signal strength continue to be a concern to me.  Lately it (the speed) hasn't gone above 36 but the signal strenth various from good to low.  It is very frustrating to me.

Concerned about the speed of computer

The speed of the internet hasn't reached the normal 36 in quite some time.  It hasn't gone past 18 in days.  Guru says its not my computer but everyone who is using the particular ISP. 

I still haven't upgraded or updated my Word Program.

I best not lose internet service as of tonight. Did you read this article today in yahoo? That thousands of people will lose their internet connection until what ever malware virus is taken care of. IT should have been taken care of back when it first occurred. Not now. This to me is unethical and immoral. Too many people depend on the internet for their lives.

Up grade to Word 2007

I may be upgrading my word processing program from 2003 to 2007.  When the VC of the DTC sends out Word documents it is a newer version.  I asked Neighbor Don if it would be worth it and he says as long as Microsoft is asking then it should be fine.  I just have to down load it.  It probably is for a fee.  I don’t know how long it will take either.

Got a couple of emails from Yahoo Groups.  It looks like they are ending some applications for their groups.  I am not sure what that means.

Doing a Security VIrus scan

This morning while visiting a site I frequent I got a block message from Norton saying this had a virus and so I followed the instructions.  At least I hope it stopped it so I have a full scan going on.
