Had a couple of updates this week

There were five window updates last week having to do with windows and various aspects.

today had java update and made my computer a little wonky but it seems to be doing okay now.

It has happpened again and this time longer.  While the screen was on saver and then it went to gray and white.  ON top of that soething wrong w/mouse.  Played around with it moved it from one up port to another.  It all seemed to take too long to do what ever it is.  I hope my computer system is okay.

E gads I had that gray streaky screen again this morning its been weeks since I had that.

Well everything seems okay with the computer this weekend.  I was a little concerned when the little computer icon in the task bar only showed a tower like thing.  I was still connected to the internet (that surprised me) but this was on for a couple of days.  Speed currently is 18-24Mbps.

Google is streamlining their Privacy policy to cover all their applications.  I think I have read it but I kept clicking “got it”.  I am hoping that will be all to do.

Many social network and journaling sites were protesting against SOPA. Wikipedia did a major info (which annoyed the hell out of me when you try and use their site) .  I just downloaded the data on it and I need to read more about it before I can explain here but apparently it has to do with free speech.

should I be concerned?

I know its been over a month and in that time had a couple of updates both windows and other security updates and verything seems fine but the little computer has the “x” in the corner as though it’s not connected. I checked the modem and they seem fine. I am able to access the net.  I have been trying to turn off the computer every couple of days and I may have to do it again.

I just caught this entry from Google Mail to keep their members informed about changes to the email programs that they use (that includes me).  I don’t use the web base unless I am out of town or at work.  I usually use MS Outlook.  So the only way I would notice the updates or changes is if I went to the website.

The only other concern I am still having is the grey streaks on the monitor when the monitor is on power down/screen saver.   It occasionally takes a couple of minutes and the gray area with streaks (it makes me think the monitor is dying) shows up.
